What Hims lists as Compounded semaglutide is a compounded version — the same active ingredient prepared by a compounding pharmacy, not the FDA-approved brand. The FDA does not review compounded products for safety, quality or effectiveness, and after the semaglutide and tirzepatide shortages officially ended, the legal basis for mass compounding narrowed.
